Breaking into Light

“The reading ahead is dense. It is as though one is moving through a thick jungle of intertwined ideas. One must move thoughtfully to disentangle these complex arrangements of ideas in order to get all the way through, in order to break into the light.”

John Andersen, Ph.D., makes this declaration in the introduction of book three of my Conscious Light Trilogy, Green Religion. Some would say it is less a declaration and more a warning. Green Religion is indeed a dense read, but John brings up an excellent point: One must move thoughtfully to disentangle these complex arrangements of ideas in order to get all the way through, in order to break into the light.

That “break into the light” is what so many of us long for, yet the road to get there is sparsely populated. Hard roads tend to have that problem. Easy roads are much more attractive. Yet, easy roads will never lead you to the revelations that the hard ones will lead you to.

Consider this my invitation for you to join me on this difficult yet immensely rewarding road. Living intentionally is a daily, step-by-step act; there is no secret, no get-it-quick scheme. Just a commitment as strong as oak and eyes steady on the prize.

I’m willing to take that journey with you. Will you join me?
